The most common component used in high fidelity for all
these missions, (not just the amplification of the original signal but its
modification or correction in very different ways) and which constitutes the
"control center" of the entire system, is the called integrated
amplifier. This element brings together in one piece at least two simpler
devices: the preamplifier and the power amplifier.
